Tomorrow, Saturday 29th July, the Kia Oval will turn blue for Cricket United Day, with three charities – the Lord’s Taverners, the PCA Benevolent Fund, and Chance to Shine – coming together to change lives through cricket.
And thanks to the continued generosity of our official tailor McCann Bespoke, we are delighted to announce that Sky commentators Shane Warne and Shaun Pollock and BBC Test Match Special commentators Mark Nicholas, Geoffrey Boycott, and Dan Norcross will all be getting in on the act by wearing delightful blue jackets and ties made by McCann Bespoke.
Designed using Bateman Odgen Merino Wool, the jackets are the perfect shade of Cricket United blue, complimented by a red lining and stitching to match that of a cricket ball and finished with Mother of Pearl buttons.
The broadcasters’ silk ties have also been lovingly created by McCann Bespoke. The logos of each of the three charities have been woven into the silk to create uniquely ‘Cricket United’ look.
“We are delighted to be part of this terrific cause and relish the opportunity to support the cricketing family in any capacity we can,” says McCann Bespoke managing director Neil McCann. “It is always such a great honour to be a part of such a special day.”
Their generosity doesn’t stop with supplying great-looking clothes to the commentators – if you quote ‘CRICKETUTD20’ when ordering from them, they’ll donate 20% of your order to Cricket United. You can see their full range at https://mccannbespoke.co.uk/
