England and Surrey batsman Jason Roy was just one of the cricket stars who attended Cricket United’s 2016 launch dinner in April which resulted in over £50,000 raised for the Lord’s Taverners, Chance to Shine and PCA Benevolent Fund.
In preview to the ‘Question of Sport Gala Dinner’, Cricket United asked you for your questions for Jason Roy and you responded in your droves. The man himself picked through the best ones and you can find out if he answered yours below…
The money will help a range of beneficiaries, from children starting out in the game to professional players retiring from it with funds raised for Cricket United helping:
| Lord’s Taverners provide more sporting chances for disadvantaged and disabled young people
| Chance to Shine spread the power of cricket to young people in schools and communities; and
| PCA Benevolent Fund continue to run a confidential counselling service, providing advice and treatment to players suffering from debilitating issues, either mentally or physically.
Cricket United is supported by England & Wales Cricket Board and Surrey County Cricket Club; as well as corporate partners, media and fans who really get behind the appeal and make it such a success.
