AUSTRALIA & ENGLAND UNITE FOR CHARITY
The England and Australian sides have temporarily put their Ashes rivalry to one side to help improve lives through cricket.
During the build up to the final Investec Ashes Test at the Kia Oval, the two teams posed for a joint group photo wearing special blue Cricket United baggy caps.
The players will give the caps to three beneficiaries at the start of play on Cricket United day this Saturday (22nd August). The beneficiaries are representing the three charities, Lord’s Taverners, Chance to Shine and the PCA Benevolent Fund, who are benefiting from Cricket United day.
The Australian team are also joining their English counterparts in giving their shirts off their backs for charity. Both teams will wear special Test shirts with the Cricket United logo on the collar during Cricket United day.
The caps and England shirts will be auctioned off on eBay to raise funds for Cricket United. Supporters will be able to bid for the items here.
